My friend Cindy is one of a kind! One of the highest compliments I could ever give her is the fact, I can ALWAYS be myself around her! After reading about her accomplishments throughout her life you will see why I value that quality more than anything.
Cindy has been in the public eye her whole adult life. You probably “know” her as the anchor of the news in either the Oklahoma City area or as the lead investigative reporter in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She has reported on some of the most horrific cases in American history, such as the Oklahoma City bombing, and the 51 day cult standoff in Waco, Texas. Her OU degree in Radio/TV/Film has served her well, as she has walked away with an Emmy, Peabody, and a Gracie Allen Award from all of her outstanding reporting. Yep, that’s right, she has done the whole late night, hat wearing, crouched down in a vehicle kind of work! As well as, taking her prized German Sheperds out to find missing children. She is a girl after my own heart! Her “moxie” and strong work ethic is second to none.
I would venture to say that you have seen her grace the cover of every magazine imaginable in Oklahoma. Her smile will brighten any room. In fact, I am quite sure she walked away from the Miss Oklahoma pageant in 3rd place for that reason alone!
She is one of the most loyal gals I know, and that goes for more than her beloved OU! She bleeds red for more than one reason. Her loyalty is for more than her 3rd generation Oklahoma University bloodline; she is a “girls, girl”, and has literally written the book on the code of friendship in her newly written book ‘Girlfriends 2.0’,a book that ABC calls smart and savvy. I would say it is Cindy sharing her secrets to true friendship and loyalty the way she truly sees and lives it on a daily basis.
She is a devoted wife, and has two incredibly precious children. Her dog Pax is a majestic creature and a work in progress (aren’t we all??)
Cindy is an open book! I have enjoyed her friendship and wisdom. My hope is that every woman finds a friend as fun and faithful as I have found in Cindy. Our friendship is a real page turner!
