My Friend Jill

I think Jill is one of the sweetest people I know. :) She’s also one of the most incredibly talented photographers I know. Doubt me? Just look at my book “Girlfriends 2.0″… she did the cover (my first non-TV anchor pic) and several pictures inside. She’s someone I trust and know she’ll always show my heart and soul in a picture… not just the wrapping.

More about Jill. Let’s see… she was raised in Louisiana and her accent shines through often. (I love it!) She majored in Interior Design at Louisiana Tech and then decided to fly the friendly skies for American Airlines for several years.

These days, she’s married to David and has one son, Grant. In fact, when he came along she decided to ground herself indefinitely and start her own store. (Yep, she finally decided to put all those college hours and design chops to work.) The store she owned and operated for many years was called “More Than Dreams”. That’s when Jill and I first met. I was pregnant and decided to visit her top-of-the-line store for some design ideas. Wow, she knows her stuff! However, that’s not when we became fast friends.

Our friendship developed years later when Jill (a serial entrepreneur) called me at the station to pick my brain for some ideas concerning a new product line. I didn’t usually go to lunch with strangers, but I really liked and admired Jill. From that time on, we talked often.

In fact, when I started my own entrepreneurial journey, I called Jill for advice. Her experience along with her creativity and “can do” attitude really called to me. She never hesitated to call with an idea, share her dreams and help me out. I love her for that. That’s why when she came up with the Gabby Girlfriends idea… I jumped on it! Who wouldn’t want to hang with an artistic soul who wants only the best for everyone around her! Jill is a true Girlfriends’ Girlfriend! :) This is going to be an awesome adventure!
